Welcome to Attitude Gaming!

Attitude Gaming is a PvE‑focused guild built around enjoying great games in a relaxed, community‑driven environment. Our main home is the Guild Wars franchise, including Guild Wars 1, Guild Wars 2, and Guild Wars 3 when it arrives. As an older millennial who spent years in World of Warcraft, the announcement of World of Warcraft: Forever means we will be playing that as well.

We do not see any conflict in playing both games. Guild Wars has always been easy to pick up and put down, and with World of Warcraft: Forever moving towards more horizontal progression, both titles should offer a relaxed, low‑pressure experience outside of new patches and fresh content drops.

Why Attitude Gaming Exists

About a year ago, I decided to give Guild Wars 2 another proper try. I had bought it at launch, but at the time I was still heavily invested in World of Warcraft the systems simply did not feel natural to me. Now that I have finally settled into it, one thing stood out. The guild and community atmosphere is very different from what I remember.

It can be surprisingly difficult to find groups that commit to regular schedules, stay active in chat or voice, or organise events consistently. Perhaps I arrived late to the party. Many players are already settled into long‑standing guilds and friendship circles. It may also be that most people rely on Discord servers now. Whatever the reason, I could not find the kind of environment I wanted, so I decided to create it myself.

I wanted a guild that fits real life. Somewhere you can finish work, feed the family, put the little demons to bed, then log in and enjoy good company while you play.

We aim for a more traditional guild atmosphere with active in‑game chat and people actually talking on voice. This is why we use TeamSpeak. I have explained the reasons for choosing TeamSpeak over Discord in a separate post if you are curious.

Also because I miss the internet of the late 90s and early 2000s, we also have a proper guild website with forums, which I talk about in the same post.

Why Now

With the upcoming launch of World of Warcraft: Forever and the development of Guild Wars 3, this feels like the right moment to start building something meaningful. These releases should make it easier to recruit and form the core group needed for organised PvE content.

These are just a few simple reasons for our existence. I will not ramble on any longer, as I imagine you do not want to read a novel full of the random ideas spilling out of my head.
