Guild & Community Expectations

Attitude Gaming was created to be a friendly, relaxed and cosy home for anyone who wants to enjoy online gaming as a group. We’re building a community which values family friendliness, playing together and being involved. These expectations are not here to police everyone. They exist purely so everyone knows what kind of guild we are, what they are potentially joining, and the kind of environment we want to foster and maintain.

We want Attitude Gaming to be a place where people feel comfortable bringing friends, partners and even their kids. A place where you want to log on, communicate, have some banter, be active, get involved and participate.

Don’t be a Dick

We’re a community built on the notion that we want to play MMOs together. That doesn’t work if people are deliberately trying to cause issues and problems.

• Don’t insult people or show hostile or aggressive behaviour. (We have enough of this crap in real life; we don’t need it when trying to have some escape.)
• Don’t start a bunch of drama or arguments.
• Don’t talk down to people for mistakes or lack of experience. If someone is not doing something correctly, try and teach them rather than moan.
• Don’t be a jerk just for the sake of it, hence the title: don’t be a dick.

This is a guild where everyone should want to and be comfortable joining in. This doesn’t work if you get disruptive or elitist players.

Family Friendly Environment

This guild is intentionally family friendly. Some of us have kids who play, some of us have partners who join in, and some simply want a calmer space.

• Keep language reasonable. I’m the worst for dropping the odd F-sake, but let’s not be running around dropping C-bombs.
• Avoid taking jokes too far; just learn to read the room.
• Be mindful that younger players may be around.
• Try and avoid real-world politics. We just want to game, not become some advocate for one point of view or the other.

The aim is simple. This should be a guild you would happily let your children or younger relatives join without feeling the need to hover over their shoulder.

Play Together, Not Alone

You don’t need to be online all day, every day, but we do ask that members:

• Join guild activities when they can. (Ideally at least once a week.)
• Say hi when you log in. We want a community rather than a silent roster.
• Help others when you are able.
• When doing content together, represent the guild. We have no issues if you’re running other content with other guilds and representing them, but when doing content with Attitude Gaming, then please represent the guild to help our guild show its presence.

We are a guild for players who actually want to play together, not one where everyone quietly solos in different corners of the world.

Use Our Guild Tools

We use our website and TeamSpeak as our main communication platforms. This is important for the guild’s identity and long-term stability.

• Check the Forums for news, updates and discussions.
• Use the Events Schedule to sign up for guild events.
• Use TeamSpeak for group content when voice is needed. We don’t force people to use voice all the time, but we do encourage everyone online to log in. However, for events such as raids or group content where communication is really important, we do require you to log on so you can at least hear. (You can mute your microphone if you really want.)

These tools help us stay organised, avoid the issues we have with Discord, and maintain a safe environment for everyone.

Guild Ranks

We base your rank in the guild on your participation, not on anything else. With that, these are the following guild ranks and what is expected for each role.

• Recruit: Players who have recently joined us.
• Casual: Players who participate but not on a regular schedule.
• Member: Players who participate regularly.
• Veteran: Players who participate and have been with us for years.
• Officer: Help run events in-game, help manage the guild, and can manage the Forums and Events Schedule.
• Guild Master: Tries to keep the ship together and put all the fires out.

We don’t make things any more complicated than that. It’s simply about who is actively playing with us and who is willing to organise, lead and help build the guild.

Be Honest and Communicate

If you need any time away, if something is bothering you, or if you are unsure about anything, just talk to us.

• We won’t remove players for taking a break.
• We won’t punish players for real-life commitments.
• We don’t expect perfection.

A quick message goes a long way and helps us keep the community healthy.

Help Shape the Guild

The guild is still growing, and we actually want your input.

• Suggest ideas.
• Give feedback.
• Share thoughts on events or improvements.
• Help us build something long-lasting.

We want this community to be shaped by its members, not just dictated by its leadership.
